Climate-resilient health systems for women and girls through integrated healthcare, economic empowerment, and community-led solutions
Wakiso District faces escalating climate impacts that disproportionately affect women and girls. Floods, heat waves, and unpredictable weather worsen the spread of diseases while disrupting access to health services in remote communities.
Women are adopting climate-smart agricultural practices such as mulching tomato gardens to conserve soil moisture and reduce heat stress, alongside using climate-resilient and disease-resistant breeds. These approaches increase productivity, reduce losses during heat waves, strengthen food security, and build resilient, sustainable livelihoods for women-led farming households.
Our project is making impact to the women and girls of the community as they get to participate in different activities
Creating impact is one of our goals and the statiistics show below.
