Who We are
CERAD Center for Relief Aid and Development is a registered woman-led non-profit organization, committed to empowering women, young people, and children in areas of sexual and reproductive, maternal, child adolescent health, and economic empowerment.
Gender inequalities restrict women and girls from accessing vital opportunities and social services, leaving them disproportionately vulnerable to poverty and socio-economic shocks. This inequity is reflected in high rates of adolescent births (25%), preventable child illnesses, and a maternal mortality ratio of 189 per 100,000 live births, alongside an HIV prevalence of 6.2%. Addressing these issues through universal healthcare access and reducing income inequality is essential to improving health outcomes and creating a more equitable society. By closing these gaps, we can prevent needless health risks and empower women and girls to pursue safer, healthier, and more economically stable lives.
